Extra thick acoustic foam tiles

We offer 2 thicknesses of acoustic foam so that our customers can tailor their purchase to suit the requirements of their space. The extra thick tiles contain 33% more foam than our standard tiles, providing more acoustic mass to absorb the unwanted sound energy. As with all our products their primary purpose is to improve the acoustics within a listening space. They will help with containing noise within an area, but wont be as effective at preventing sound intrusion from external sources.

Standard thickness tiles:

+ less physical room intrusion
+ more coverage per box

- less potential for sound absorption

Extra thick tiles:

+ more acoustic foam per tile
+ greater potential for sound absorption

- less surface coverage per box

Either of these products will improve any hard surface. The decision between the two comes down to budget and how much space you can allocate to acoustic treatment. All of our products use the same 300mm x 300mm flat dimension, so they are interchangeable within a design so you are never limited to just one, and can choose to deploy the thicker tiles in the more problematic locations.
